This is the junction of the Ben Overturff (BO) Trail with the Sawpit Canyon Fireroad, about 1.5 miles from the park entrance station. Here you can choose to continue hiking on the fireroad to either the Twin Springs or Deer Park Trailheads or go left, between the two stone pillars, and take the BO Trail. Via the BO trail, it is about 2 miles to Deer Park, by the fireroad, 2.25 miles.

Note: The BO Trail, though shorter, is a little more difficult than the fire road, due to the steepness of it. Because of this, many people opt to hike up the fire road to the Deer Park Trailhead and hike back down via the BO Trail. If you're taking the fire road, just walk around the right side of the large metal gate by those four big rocks.
