Monrovia Canyon Park - Chaparral Virgins Bower

(Clematis lasianta)

From the Clamshell Truck Trail, inside the Monrovia Hillside Wilderness Preserve (HWP); the beautiful blossoms of the Chaparral Virgins Bower (Clematis lasianta).
The tri-compound leaf of this plant is sometimes mistaken for Poison Oak (Toxicodendron diversilobum).
