An almost mature Cooper's Hawk with a Fox Squirrel (Scirius niger) in its talons. The eyes of immature Cooper's Hawks are yellow, turning blood red when they are fully mature. This hawk was seen in a residential area of Monrovia but are also seen in and around the park. They have a very distinctive staccato call. Click on the photo for more info.
