A Mournful or Sad Dusky-wing Butterfly feeding on Chaparral Whitethorn (Ceanothus leucodermis) blossoms along the Bill Cull Trail. This member of the Skipper family of butterfiles (Hesperiidea) is distinguisable from other Dusky-wings by the white fringe on its wings.
