This is the 93 year old grandson of David Macpherson, the electrical engineer that designed and built the incline railway, at the Ceremony honoring the 100th anniversary of the original opening of the Echo Mountain Resort. The partially obscured man on the left, assisting Macpherson's grandson, is John W. Robinson, well known author of many books about the history and lore of the San Gabriel Mountains.
