This is a concrete spillway you will come to about 45 minutes from the BO Trailhead. In the late Spring/early summer, California Coast Range Newts can be found in the pool, formed at the bottom of this spillway. From here, it is about 20 minutes to the Twin Springs Trailhead and about 40 minutes to the Deer Park Trailhead. Click here for another view of this spot.

Another view of this spillway area. It makes a great spot to take a break on your hike and have some lunch.
