The entrance to the Sawpit Canyon Road that leads to the Ben Overturff trailhead. "Bear" right, crossing over the Boy Scout Bridge and start climbing up the hill towards Sawpit Dam. Just past this bridge, although paved, is one of the steepest parts of the hike. So, hang in there - when you reach the top of Sawpit Dam, the hard part's over!

  Note to hikers: Be alert for descending cars and mountain bikers on the 4 blind curves leading up to the dam.
